King Abdullah University of Science and Technology
, Saudi Arabia is an international; graduate-level Research University.
Dedicated to inspiring a new age of scientific achievement in the Kingdom that will also benefit the region and the world.
KAUST pursues its research agenda through four strategic research thrusts that focus on areas of science and technology that are important to Saudi Arabia, the region, and the world:
• Resources, Energy and Environment;
• Biosciences and Bioengineering;
• Materials Science and Engineering;
• Applied Mathematics and Computational Science.
Most of our scope of work was focused in the innovation cluster; or what is known as the Research Park:
The research park area is divided into 3 buildings, innovation clusters 1, 2, and 3. Each cluster contains a number of high technology researching laboratories. Its key role is to promote KAUST's mission of economic development, technology transfer and the creation of entrepreneurial opportunities within Saudi Arabia.
The Research Park provides an environment where technology-based businesses can collaborate on research and development with Faculty and students at KAUST, while enjoying access to its labs, equipment, and services.
Scope of Work:
In KAUST we have three parts of work, the major part was the research park; the innovation center of the university, the second part was the engineering building in the campus, and the third part was a special purpose research building; the green house building, a building that prepared to give the researchers in the Botany the chance to do there researches.
A total of 527 venturi air valves were installed in these buildings; most of them were installed in the research park building. preparing the wiring diagrams for the project, pre-installation site visits with presentations of the proper installation and wiring, reviewing the sequence of operation and our services did not end in preparing the data base and making the testing & commissioning, but also we provided the technical support for the client in solving many problems regarding the duct heaters operation and the air balancing in the buildings. KAUST was a unique experience combining the high standards with the tight timing of the project.
